Welcome To The Pet Patch Place

The Pet Patch is a place where we can show off those beautiful creatures that we so dearly cherrish in our lives. It is also a place I would like to post articles on animal cruelty and to be a voice to help stop the abuse.

I am a proud Pet Parent of 41 "babies". I will show pic's throughout my blog of pets I have had over the years to the present time. You will see that I am TRULY a pet lover and my passion for animals have been a gift from God...no doubt about it. God knew what He was doing when He gave me that kind of heart. I can't imagine my life without them.

God created animals in all shapes, sizes, and colors for our enjoyment. He also gave us a little bit of Heaven right here on earth when He gave us our pets. That's why it turns my stomach when I read and hear of animals being abused and killed all over the world. We need to come together as one and become the voice to fight for those helpless animals. Together...We CAN succeed.

Here is an article I found from the ASPCA regarding cruelty to animals.

In late November 2007, the ASPCA was alerted to suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a stray kitten who had been socialized, cared for and fed by the residents and employees of a building at 1581 Fulton Avenue, The Bronx. Witnesses told ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement investigators that 17-year-old Robert Tull, a resident of the area, struck the 4 1/2-month-old male kitten with a garbage pail lid on the night of the kitten’s death. Back at ASPCA headquarters in Manhattan, an examination of the kitten’s remains proved that he had suffered head trauma and that he had been drowned.

ASPCA Special Agent Patrick Breen arrested Tull without incident on December 17, just a short distance away from the Fulton Avenue building. At 17, Tull is considered an adult by New York City law. He has been charged with felony aggravated animal cruelty and faces up to two years in prison and a $2,000 fine.
